AWS Retail Competency: Pragma's new milestone certification

We are happy to announce Pragma reached another significant landmark by earning the Amazon Web Services Retail Competency. 

This recognition goes to AWS partners that have demonstrated technical expertise and a high level of effectiveness in building AWS-based solutions, particularly those developed to drive growth into companies in the retail industry. 

As Miguel Viana Suarez, Head of Cloud Business Development at Pragma, explains, this seal also recognizes Pragma's capabilities beyond the technical:

"The Retail Competency endorses Pragma as a partner that is in the capacity to develop business, but not only with software development capabilities, it also recognizes our strategic business capabilities, both in retail and CPG."

To achieve this certification, AWS analyzed several projects in which Pragma built innovative solutions that demonstrated its ability to improve the user experience, automate processes, and increase the value obtained from data, among other benefits that impact business performance and end users.

For Carolina Gomez, leader of digital ecosystems at Pragma, this recognition is a clear message for companies that are looking for an ally to drive their digital transformation: 

"AWS is telling them to work calmly with Pragma; they know what they are doing and have had success stories to back them up."

Similarly, both Gómez and Viana stress that, with the Retail Competency, there is also a message for Pragmatics, as it confirms that they make a company that is within a select group of organizations that specialize in building solutions for the retail sector and are therefore in the capacity to take on increasingly exciting and challenging challenges.

A unique nearshore AWS partner

The AWS Retail Competency is just one of the recognitions Pragma has received recently. 

In June, Pragma won the AWS Rising Star award for its outstanding work as an Amazon partner in the region. At the time, Juan Sebastián Botero, Pragma's Cloud Business Director, highlighted the possibilities this implied in reaching the highest level of partnership that AWS offers its partners. 

On the other hand, the Retail Competency comes to join three other AWS competencies that Pragma has been accumulating.

These competencies, in DevOps and Digital Customer Experience, certify years of work that has positioned Pragma as a benchmark for its ability to use AWS services to accelerate the digital transformation of its partners.
