We are part of the AWS Well-Architected Program. Know the benefits

Enabling our customers’ technology to reach its full potential and transform lives by intelligently using the cloud is essential to what we do at Pragma. So, we are pleased to announce that we will be part of the AWS Well-Architected Partner Program for the third year in a row.

As explained by Kelly Marín Palacio, a cloud infrastructure architect in the cloud business development team, AWS has a good practices framework based on six pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability.

AWS partners who are part of the Well-Architected Partner Program have demonstrated their ability to deep-review the architecture of their customers’ digital assets. This allows them to detect different risks that affect application performance and, in some cases, such as Pragma’s, to offer recommendations and technical services to remedy such risks.

Owing to a well-architected review, very varied areas of improvement can be found. They can range from recognizing that applications are not ready to face security incidents or an unexpected increase in demand to identifying that costs can be optimized in the use of resources.

Benefits of a Well-Architected Review with Pragma

During the first years of Pragma’s involvement in the Well-Architected Partner Program, one of the main objectives was to certify the knowledge of some Pragma employees about the AWS good practices framework and the methodologies necessary to make an assessment. Recently, Pragma’s efforts have focused on demonstrating its ability to detect critical risks and, above all, to remediate them.

In 2023, Pragma completed more than 30 reviews, achieving permanence within this initiative’s group of AWS partners. Although this experience is significant, it is just one of the benefits of conducting a Well-Architected Review with Pragma.

“Only partners of the program can offer credit benefits to customers. For example, Pragma conducts a review, and the customer asks us to remediate at least 45% of the high risks we have detected; the customer is eligible to earn up to $5,000 in AWS credits,” says Marín.

Pragma’s permanence within the AWS Well-Architect Partner Program adds to a series of milestones achieved during 2023, including the Retail and Data and Analytics Competency certificates and the AWS Rising Star award for Pragma’s notable work as an AWS partner in the region.
